Why wouldn’t you just let it naturally leak out?

This morning I happened upon the “Salt” movie trailer while tooling around YouTube, and saw that it in this big ugly yellow box marked “paid-for advertising No one actually wanted to post it but the company thought it should be here”

So it actually probably has over 3 million views now because, let’s face it, Angie’s hot.

But I wonder how many more views they would get if it was a “leaked” trailer “unauthorized copy of the film’s highlights”?
That way not only could they release it earlier to get people speculating, they could do it several times, with “corrected versions”, and then

BAM the movie

Random musings from my directing wanna-be-self.
